Well, here are some key points, I know I have mentioned them a few times, but they really are very important! ⭐️⁣

Babies are not born with the ability to self soothe, therefore they need the support of an adult to help them handle and regulate their fears and emotions. Over time, by having lots of experiences of being comforted and feeling safe, babies learn to grow the capacity to comfort themselves. So lots of cuddles and reassurance will go a long way!⭐️ ⁣

2: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬⁣
Using the right sleep associations that work for your child and family. They may include things such as a comforter or, the big one, a consistent bedtime routine! Which takes me to number… ⭐️⁣

Here’s the thing, predictability is incredibly important in a child’s life. Predictable routines and predictable interactions with parents and caregivers help a child establish a style to regulate stress and minimise crying. Therefore, consistency and a predictable bedtime routine is very soothing for children and will help them get a better night’s sleep. ⭐️⁣
